Image Builder: incorrect profile names and broken multi-profile logic

Since about revision 90x or so, the image builder started to take things like DEVICE_DIR505A1 instead of just DIR505A1 as the profile name and I believe around the same time it started building a lot of other device images and taking forever when I specified DEVICE_DIR505A1 profile. I’m wondering if something was broken in Image Builder and/or if the multi-profile logic was broken.
The steps to reproduce are:
- Download the Image Builder from
and unpack it
-
Run make clean and make image PROFILE=DEVICE_DIR505A1
-
End up with 229 files in bin/targets/ar71xx/generic as per attached
PS. The exact make image command I use is: make image PROFILE=DEVICE_DIR505A1 PACKAGES=”kmod-ath9k libpolarssl libustream-mbedtls libmbedtls openssh-sftp-server ip6tables-mod-nat ipset ip openvpn-polarssl miniupnpd luci luci-app-upnp luci-app-vnstat luci-theme-material luci-app-openvpn iwinfo nano htop iftop coreutils-sort -dnsmasq dnsmasq-full dnscrypt-proxy -wpad-mini wpad” FILES=dir-505/
